The 'Yoxford Coop' is the medium sized coop of the range we currently produce. The coop is suitable for 15 - 20 birds but that is obviously dependant on the size of the birds you keep. Like all of the coops, this coop is produced using the best materials available; please check out the 'Technical Stuff' page for full details.

The main body of the coop is 1.5 meters long x 1 meter deep and the coop stands 1.5 meters high. The main features of this coop are:

Two secure external nestboxes with hinged roofs for easy access, both nestboxes are subdivided into 3 seperate compartments, giving a total of 6 nesting spaces. The nestbox roofs and hinges are silicon sealed to prevent water ingress.  

Over 4.5 meters of perch space, all perches are shaped to prevent damage to the birds feet.

Both the pophole and the large rear door are secured by 4 inch tower bolts. There is gable end ventilation to provide good air circulation without causing drafts. The roof is secured by 4 pull out bolts, this means that the whole roof can be removed easily for thorough cleaning. Unlike some coops on the market, the roof of this coop is made from timber shiplap and not covered in roofing felt. Roofing felt can be very bad for chicken coops as it can provide a perfect home for the dreaded mites. The standard leg length of this coop raises it from the floor by 45cm to help prevent damp ingress and to prevent rats and mice from nesting under the coop, a common problem with low rise coops. Whilst large and heavy this coop can be moved by 2 people.

The Yoxford Run

The Yoxford run is designed to provide external space for your birds, but in a controlled and protected way.

The run measures 3 meters long x 1.5 meters wide and stands 1 meter high. The main features of this run are: A large, secure access door beside the coop, providing easy daily access for the chicken keeper.

A secure pophole and the far end to allow the birds to roam free, should you choose to let them out.

A valuable covered area under the coop providing a dry space for feed and water as well as a place for the birds to shelter from the sun or rain. The run can easily be removed from the coop and can be carried by 2 people. The run can also be dismantled for storage or transportation.

I work on a 'Made to Order' basis and therefore your order will be ready for collection approximately 2 weeks after cleared payment has been received (in exceptionally busy periods however this time frame may be extended, you will always be informed if there is going to be a delay).
